Here on the ranch, we have historic cabins and buildings that have been completely restored. The property even includes a pinch of today’s technology with internet and tv. Everything you could ever dream of only 16 miles from C-470, within an hour of downtown Denver, approx. 40 min from Red Rocks, and 35 minutes from major grocery stores. Elevation varies from the highest peak 7800 feet to the lower valley areas around 6500 feet.
Over a 30-year period the ranch was formed through the purchase of larger land parcels all contiguous creating over 15 miles of connected trails. Danny, together with his daughter Hazel and his grandchildren Elaina and Slim, built the ranch. They have had many blessings and opportunities to make it what it is today.
It wouldn’t be what it is without our family. As a family we have a small herd of cattle and Elaina enjoys showing her animals in 4-H. Arising Star Ranch has been a major donor to the 4 H program with donations for quality award belt buckles for all the kids in 4-H Douglas County. Up here on the mountain we spend a lot of time together from checking game cameras, limited hunting, cutting wood, fixing fences, digging out after a snowstorm and spraying summer weeds. That’s where our value lies, in family and stewardship of the land.
It’s in EVERYTHING we do. That’s where the ranch name came from. Arising Stars.
